Worship at St. John Lutheran Church is centered in God’s Word, grounded in tradition, and open to all. Whether you’re a lifelong Lutheran or stepping into a church for the first time, you are welcome here — just as you are.
We gather each Sunday at 9:15 AM in our sanctuary for a service that blends the richness of Lutheran liturgy with a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. Services typically last about an hour and are followed by coffee, snacks, and conversation in the education building. Our cross+generational Sunday School begins shortly after — with participants ranging in age from toddlers to seniors and everyone in between.

Our services follow the liturgies found in the Lutheran Book of Worship (LBW) and With One Voice (WOV). Hymns are selected from the Lutheran Book of Worship (LBW), With One Voice (WOV) and Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW) hymnals.
- 1st & 3rd Sundays: Holy Communion using LBW liturgy and traditional hymns accompanied by organ
- 2nd, 4th & 5th Sundays: Service of the Word and Prayer using WOV liturgy and hymns accompanied by electronic piano
Holy Communion

On communion Sundays, all baptized Christians who are accustomed to receiving the Body and Blood of Christ are welcome to share in this sacred meal. If you do not wish to receive communion, you are still invited to come forward for a special blessing.
We offer:
- Wine in the outer two rings of the tray
- Grape juice in the inner ring
Simply take the cup you prefer as the tray is brought to you.
What to Expect
Our service includes scripture readings, preaching, prayer, and music. Parts of the service invite the congregation to stand — if you are able — and the pastor will usually prompt this. Bulletins include the full order of worship to help guide you through the service.
Dress varies — some members wear their Sunday best, others come in jeans and a button-up. However you come, come comfortably.
If you can’t join in person, our worship is streamed live on Facebook most Sundays.
